Each and every one of our watches are named after important moments in the history of horology. In 1958, Pan Am was the first American airline to fly from New York to Paris in just 8 hours. The introduction of jet engines revolutionized air travel, and established what is now known as “Jet Age”. Naturally, our 1958 Jet Age carries its name hereafter.
The watch is carefully designed with quality materials, such as its sapphire glass and 316L stainless steel frame alongside a meticulous level of detail - from its off-white dial and dark blue bezel to its subtle steel hands encapsulated in a timeless steel case. Notice also the globus placed on the dial underneath the About Vintage signature.

Made to order means making products only after they are ordered. Contrary to the traditional process, the watch will first be produced after you have placed your order.
This way, we ensure that there is no excess supply. Only watches ordered between April 10th and May 1st will be produced.
What is “Jet Age” and where does the term come from?
Prior to the late 1950s, commercial aircrafts were powered by inefficient propels and expensive piston engines. The introduction of jet engines revolutionized air travel, and established what is now known as “Jet Age”.
More powerful and durable than its successors, it enabled manufacturers to build bigger, faster, and more productive airliners with lower operating costs and airfares. Commercial jet aircrafts opened up the world, not just to the affluent but to the ordinary citizens of many countries.
Pan American World Airways, or commonly known as Pan Am, was one of the most successful airlines during the peak of the Jet Age. On October 26th, 1958, after Boeing had introduced its first Jet Aircraft, Pan Am became the first American airline to fly the Boeing 707 from New York to Paris in 8 hours; a revolution at the time.
