Join us in commemorating extraordinary collaborative moments!

Within the watchmaking realm, partnerships often foster an exclusive blend of originality and ingenuity. Since 2014, About Vintage has embraced collaborations, creating watches with various brands and celebrities to commemorate their significant moments.

In this blog post, we’ll delve into some notable collaborations by About Vintage, spotlighting the brand’s dedication to each partnership.

About Vintage X Roskilde Festival

For this collaboration, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Roskilde Festival by naming the watch 1971 Stagediver, a tribute to the festival’s inception.

This marked the start of one of Northern Europe's largest festivals, and to honor this, we included a piece of the original tent canvas from the inaugural orange stage on the watch's case back.

About Vintage aims to commemorate important moments with collaborators, making this collaboration a natural choice.

About Vintage X Kristian Haagen

About Vintage teamed up with leading Scandinavian watch expert Kristian Haagen for this collaboration. Haagen, co-founder of the watch lover's social media phenomenon Dailywatch, is also the founder of the monthly watch magazine Timegeeks and the author of the popular Hashtags & Watches book series.

About Vintage x Kristian Haagen

The watch, named 1970 after Haagen’s birth year, involved his active participation in the design process, contributing to the choice of movement and materials. It was crucial for him that this watch served as a functional timepiece for travel and exploration, adding utility to everyday life.

About Vintage X Justin Gatlin

About Vintage collaborated with renowned American sprinter Justin Gatlin, a top athlete in the 100-meter category. Gatlin's remarkable career inspired the creation of this watch, designed for various occasions.

The 1815 Chronograph was an ideal model choice, featuring a classic design in gold or steel combined with a sporty chronograph. It comes with additional red and orange NATO straps, commemorating the schools he represented throughout his career. The watch's default blue strap symbolizes his time with the United States team.

A special homage to Gatlin's personal best 100-meter time of 9.74 seconds is highlighted between the 12-hour and 2-hour markers.

Flipping the watch reveals his initials on the case back, containing elements from his race-worn tracksuits. The blue dot between the initials symbolizes a motivation button, inspiring the wearer to give their all, akin to Justin Gatlin.

About Vintage X Frederique Constant

Commencing in 2018, this longstanding collaboration with the esteemed Swiss watch brand Frederique Constant was a pivotal one for our brand.

The models, named 1988 after Frederique Constant's founding year in Geneva, were highly limited. The green 1988 Flyback Chronograph, limited to just 32 pieces, sold out in a mere eight minutes.

Through three successive launches with Frederique Constant—the 1988 Moonphase in 2018, followed by the two 1988 Flyback Chronographs in Green and Blue Editions in 2020 and 2021 respectively—About Vintage demonstrated the power of innovation and collaboration in the watch industry.

About Vintage X AC Milan

The collaboration with AC Milan stands as one of the most significant partnerships yet, making About Vintage an official partner.

The first watch, named 2022 Rossonero, celebrated their 19th championship in the 21/22 season after an 11-year gap. The watch features a star on the bezel to symbolize their existing star and emphasizes the number 19 on the bezel, signifying AC Milan's 19 Scudetti wins. A true fan will recognize these subtle references.

The second watch, launched in mid-December 2022, celebrated AC Milan's 123-year anniversary with the 1899 Rossonero Automatic trio, featuring three different color dials, resembling their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd jerseys. Only 123 pieces of each color were produced.

The final launch was a family pack, comprising three watches tailored to appeal to three generations of fans. Three AC Milan players surprised three fans with a special gift, creating a memorable moment.
